The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) supports international students, academic staff, and visiting professors in identifying safe, appropriate, and affordable accommodation during their mobility period. While USAL does not provide on-campus housing, the International Office offers structured guidance to facilitate the housing search prior to and upon arrival.
Accommodation support is provided in an advisory capacity to ensure participants are well informed and able to make independent housing arrangements that meet their personal needs and length of stay.
Support Provided
- Pre-arrival guidance on accommodation options near the university campus
- Referrals to private apartments, shared flats, and student residences
- Advice on typical rental costs, lease conditions, and utility arrangements
- Practical information on neighborhoods, transportation, safety, and daily living
- Assistance in communicating with landlords when language or logistical barriers arise
Participants are encouraged to begin accommodation arrangements well in advance of arrival.

Writing Center – University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon
USAL provides dedicated language and academic writing support to assist international students in meeting academic requirements and maintaining high academic standards. The Writing Center supports students throughout their mobility period in a confidential and academic integrity–focused environment.

USAL ensures that international participants are informed about mandatory health and insurance requirements associated with their mobility period. Valid insurance coverage is required for the entire duration of the stay in Lebanon.
