Ahmad Fadlallah received his Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the Lebanese University, Beirut, in 2001. He obtained his M.S. degree in Telecommunications and Networks, jointly from the Lebanese University and Saint Joseph University, Beirut in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree from Télécom ParisTech, Paris, France in 2008. After which, he was a post-doctoral fellow for one year at Télécom ParisTech. He is associate professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are mainly in the field of computer and network security. His current research activities fall in the detection of attacks using AI in addition to the IoT security related issues, and in particular in the IoT authentication.

Ayman El Zein received the bachelor in pure mathematics from the Lebanese University, Hadat, 2018, the Masters degree in discrete mathematics and algebra from the Lebanese University, Hadat, 2020, and the Ph.D degree in mathematics from the Lebanese University, Hadat and Université Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambéry, France, in 2023. In 2018, he won the first-place award in LAU Mathematics Tournament. In 2021, he was the first to solve Rosenfeld’s Cycles Conjecture proposed in 1974. Currently, he is assistant professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are in Graph Theory: Universal Graphs, Second Neighborhood in Digraphs, Out-Domination in Tournaments, and Packing Coloring of Graphs.

Ayman El-Zein, PhD
Assistant Professor in Computer Science and applied Mathematics
Ali Ezzeddine received a Computer Science Diploma from the Lebanese University, Beirut, in 2007, the M.S. degree in Informatics and telecommunications from the Lebanese University, Lebanon and Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in in Computer Engineering, Machine intelligence and robotics University of Tehran, Iran. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are in Learning from demonstrations and human feedback, Transformers for Language Modeling and NLP tasks: Text classification, entity extraction, etc. and Natural language processing techniques.

Ali Ezzeddine, PhD
Assistant Professor in Computer and Machine Learning
Yasser Fadlallah received the Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the Lebanese University, Beirut, in 2009, the M.S. degree in signal processing from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO), Brest, France, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from Télécom Bretagne, Brest, in 2013. In 2012, he was a visiting PhD student at the Coding and Signal Transmission Laboratory, University of Waterloo, Canada. In 2014 he was an R & D engineer at Orange Labs, Paris, and then a post-doctoral fellow and a research associate at INRIA for 3 years. Currently, he is associate professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are in wireless caching in 5G, vulnerability assessment, low-complexity receivers for 5G, interference management, and massive MIMO systems.

Yasser Fadlallah, PhD
Associate Professor in Computer and Information Technology
Mohamad-AlFadl Rihani received the B.S in Communication from the Lebanese International University, Beirut, in 2010, the M.S. degree in Computer and Communication from the Lebanese International University, Beirut, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree from INSA, Rennes France, in 2018. In 2019 he was a Post-Doctoral at the IMT Atlantique, Brest France, he was working on the hardware design for the 5G turbo decoder. Currently, he is assistant professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are in designing and implementation of a reconfigurable wireless systems based on the ARM-FPGA platform.

Mohamad Rihani, PhD
Assistant Professor in Computer and Networks
Abbass Madi received a Mathematics Diploma from the Lebanese University, Beirut, in 2015, the M.S. degree in Mathematics of information – Cryptography from the Rennes 1 university, Rennes, France, in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science Mathematics from Paris-Saclay university and French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), Paris, in 2022. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests are in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), Verifiable Computing (VC), Adaptation of the usage of VC and FHE in different Machine Learning models, Post-quantum cryptography, and multi-linear maps for cryptographical uses.

Abbas Madi, PhD

Nafee Mourad received his Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the Lebanese University, Beirut, in 2003. He obtained his M.S. degree in Modeling and Computer Simulation, jointly from the Lebanese University (Beirut, Lebanon) and University of Rennes (France) in 2006, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2021. During that period, he engaged in professional engineering and teaching work. Currently, he is an assistant professor at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). His research interests include human-in-the-loop Reinforcement Learning, sensor/data fusion, and Cognitive Robotics.

Nafee Mourad, PhD
Assistant Professor in Computer and Machine Learning

Roula Ajrouche earned a PharmD degree from the Lebanese University and a PhD in Public Health- Epidemiology from Paris-Sud University. Her doctoral dissertation, studying the risk factors of Childhood Leukemia, was conducted at the Center of Research in Epidemiology and Statistics, Sorbonne Paris-Cité. Afterwards, she pursued a postdoctoral position at the French Institute of Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety as a part of an international collaboration with the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which also awarded her in 2015. Currently, she is chair of the health sciences department at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) and a research associate member at the Institut National de Santé Publique, d’Épidémiologie Clinique et de Toxicologie-Liban (INSPECT-LB). Her research interests are mainly in the fields of public health, epidemiology, and health economic evaluation.

Roula Ajrouche, PhD
Associate Professor in Health Sciences
Joumana Ammar is a professional registered nurse with more than 23 years of experience in academia and practice. Since 2000, Ms. Joumana has served as a member of the Al-Mabarrat Health Sciences Institute. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching both theoretical and practical classes for BS students, and provided clinical staff with hands-on training for nursing students. She was the main clinical coordinator for more than 15 years. She holds a Master’s in education from Saint-Joseph University, Lebanon.

Joumana Ammar, MS

Aida Hamdar is a professional registered nurse with more than 29 years of experience in academia, practice, and management. Since 2000, Ms. Aida has served as a director of the Al-Mabarrat Health Sciences Institute. She educated all levels of nursing students and participated in official nursing exams. She holds a Master’s degree in education from Islamic University and holds a certificate in educational leadership from the British Council.

Mariam Hussein, PhD
Assistant Professor in Media and Communication
Dr. Moussa El Dirani is an academic, media professional, and information science expert with over 20 years of experience. He has held key roles at Al-Mayadeen Network, including News Producer, Editor, and Africa Webpage Producer, focusing on news monitoring, journalism, and digital content strategy. His expertise extends to library and information sciences, having led library management and archival projects in the UK and Lebanon. Dr. Dirani holds a Ph.D. in Communication & Media/Information Science and has contributed research on digital-age information professionals.

Nasri Harb holds a PhD degree from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, in 2001. He Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at the United Arab Emirates University in 2008. Appointed as Dean of the Business Administration College at the American University of Technology in Jbeil, Lebanon, in 2010. He joined the USAL as Dean of the Faculty of Administrative, Financial, and Economic Sciences in 2013, and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2023. Participated in several academic committees on curriculum development. He published numerous articles related to Middle East economics in the fields of growth, oil, and finance. He conducted several research projects related to income distribution. Received multiple grants to conduct field studies on labor economics and economics education. He is also a peer reviewer for several international economic journals.

Nasri Harb, PhD

Soha Dia hold obtained her PhD degree in Business Administration from the Lebanese University in 2021 and the M.S degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) in 2017. Her teaching philosophy centers on equipping students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge that are crucial for success in today’s dynamic business environment. She actively engage in research that bridges the gap between technology and business. Her research interests focuses on leveraging data mining techniques to enhance marketing strategies, ensuring that the contributions are both innovative and applicable in real-world scenarios.

Soha Dia, PhD
Assistant Professor in Business Marketing
Hiba Hussein Slim is an experienced healthcare administrator and academic specializing in quality management and accreditation in healthcare institutions. She holds an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration and an International MBA from Saint Joseph University and Paris Dauphine University. She served as the Assistant General Manager and Quality Manager at Bahman Hospital, she has extensive experience in hospital management, strategic planning, and training. She is currently assistant professor at USAL and has published research on physician involvement in management.

Assistant Professor in Business Management
Malak Khreis is an academic and researcher specializing in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She earned her Ph.D. from the Lebanese University in 2021, where her dissertation introduced advanced decision support systems leveraging machine learning and ontology techniques to improve tax compliance and public service delivery. She obtained her M.S degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information and Decision Support Systems at the Lebanese University. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor and at USAL. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence in Business Applications, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Ontology, Fraud Detection, Behavioral Economics, and Digital Media.

Malak Khreiss, PhD
Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems
Hadi Harb holds a PhD degree in Financial Business from Yasar University and an M.S degree in Finance from the Lebanese University, and currently serves as assistant professor in the Finance and Accounting Department at USAL where brings expertise in course development, curriculum design, and student guidance to the academic environment, fostering a comprehensive understanding of finance for students. He accumulated more than 10 years of experience in financial consultancy, where he managed accounting processes, developed templates for financial tracking, and trained staff on effective financial management practices. His research interests focuses on financial modelling, data analysis, and the evaluation of financial strategies.

Hadi Harb, PhD
Assistant Professor in Financial Business
Ahmad Haidar hold a Ph.D. from Paris-Saclay University in affiliation with Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, an M.S degree in Financial Economics, and an MBA. As a member of the Good In Tech research network, he focuses on Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR), responsible AI. He is also a member of ISPIM’s Future Educators Series 2024/5, contributing to shaping innovative and impactful educational approaches for the next generation of innovation management professionals. He received the Best Paper Award at the DTS Conference 2023 in Paris. His research interests includes Artificial intelligence in business, Sustainable Development Goals, and Corporate Digital and Social Responsibility.

Ahmad Haidar
Assistant Professor in Business Management
Ghada Taher Al-Lami is a business administration expert, educator, and corporate trainer with a Doctorate in Business Administration. She is currently assistant professor at USAL focusing on business and management subjects, and has a strong background in corporate training and leadership development. Previously, she worked as a computer engineer at Huawei and a managing member at Babylon Construction Company. Her research explores AI, e-commerce, and the impact of leadership on innovation, with publications in internationally recognized journals.

Walid Hammoud obtained a PhD degree in Educational Sciences from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale, France, in 2011, and an M.S degree from the Lebanese University in Sociology. He Worked in educational supervision in Mabarat institutions and cumulated more than 20 years of experience. He is the Coordinator of the Lebanese General Planning Authority at the Center for Educational Research and Development at the Ministry of Education, and is responsible for the curriculum development workshop in Lebanon. He has published many articles and books in the fields of educational assessment and distance learning.

Walid Hammoud, PhD
Associate Professor in Education
Hussein Alaaeddine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (2008) and a Master’s degree in Sports Injury Rehabilitation (2014) from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health. He has been serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University of Sciences and Arts (USAL) since 2018. extensive experience working with Lebanese sports clubs. He is an expert in physical therapy and sports rehabilitation, combining academic and practical experience with more than 10 years of experience with Sports Club, during which he achieved multiple titles and championships. His research interests are in Sports Injury Rehabilitation.

Randa Farhat is an educator and researcher specializing in educational psychology and student development. She holds a PhD and MA in Education from Université Saint Joseph and a BS in Medical Laboratory from AUB. Her research focuses on teacher self-efficacy and the psychosocial adjustment of refugee children in Lebanese public schools. She currently serves as assistant professor at USAL. Issa Al-Moussawi holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and is pursuing a PhD in Educational Sciences at Université Saint-Joseph, Beirut, focusing on the competencies of special educators in enhancing inclusive practices. Issa serves as the Special Needs Coordinator, Academic Advisor, and Instructor at USAL. Issa is the Founder of SANAD Clinique, a center specializing in academic interventions and ABA services. In addition to his professional roles, Issa volunteers as the General Secretary of the Syndicate of Special Education Teachers in Lebanon. His professional development includes extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis, inclusive education, and special education strategies.

Mona El-Abed earned a PhD in Education with an emphasis on School Guidance from the Lebanese University in 2019, and an M.S degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Psychology from the American University of Beirut. She is a certified educational psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of education. She has extensive teaching expertise and has served as a university lecturer, while also holding the role as an Educational Psychologist for supporting student development. She is an active member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy) and the Lebanese Psychological Association (LPA), contributing to the advancement of psychological practices in Lebanon. Mona El-Abed, PhD

Moustapha Fortunato received his PhD in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry from Université Reims, Fance, in 2019, and his M.S in Chemistry and Processes from Joseph Fourier University, France, in 2015. During his doctoral studies, he completed a research stay of 3 months as part of the Japanese-French exchange program, which enriched his research experience with international methodologies and perspectives. He then transitioned into the science education field, focusing on enhancing teaching and learning in science. With over six years of experience as a lecturer in higher education institutions, he now serves as Assistant Professor at USAL. His research interests encompass focuses on advancing STEM education and improving science education practices.
