Overview
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) aims to provide high-quality, learner-centered education tailored to students’ needs, capabilities, and specific interests. In order to achieve this, the faculty relies on well-structured educational programs that equip graduates with the competencies required to succeed in the fast-evolving job market. Additionally, the faculty is proud of its distinguished teaching staff, who are committed to sharing their expertise with students.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences comprises three departments:
- Department of Media: offers a Bachelor’s degree in Media, with three concentrations: Radio and Television, Digital Media, and Public Relations and Advertising. This program adopts Arabic as the language of instruction.
- Department of Computer Science: grants a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, offering three concentrations: Computing, Computer and Network Security, and Data Science. In this department, the language of instruction is English.
- Department of Health Sciences: provides a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences. Similar to the Computer Science department, English is used as the language of instruction for this program.

Dear students,
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is considered the largest in our university in terms of number of students, and the most diverse in terms of majors. This faculty houses three departments: Media, Computer Science and Health Sciences.
Based on the University mission, the faculty is persistent in providing distinct qualitative education through its different programs, based of the following pillars:
- Consistently designing and developing academic programs to meet the needs of the labor market, keeping pace with the accelerating technological changes and providing logistic requirements for laboratories by equipping them with the latest technologies and tools to reinforce the educational process.
- Providing academically and practically experienced faculty members.
- Emphasizing scientific research to promote the educational process, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and problem solving in our society.
- Focusing on building students’ personalities by providing a supportive environment that enables them to develop their skills in communication, leadership and critical thinking.
