The library is an essential part of the educational process. It provides a wide range of information sources in both print and electronic formats, including books, references, journals, e-books, and research articles. The library is equipped with a modern electronic system to make searching easier and offers computers and internet access to support learning, research, and teaching.
Mission
The mission of the USAL Library is to support and improve teaching, learning, and research at the University by providing high-quality services and resources that follow international standards.
Library Rules
Students at USAL are expected to follow these rules when using the library:
- Do not eat or drink inside the library.
- Do not leave personal belongings unattended on tables.
- Keep mobile phones on silent mode and avoid phone calls inside the library.
- Handle books carefully; do not write on or damage them.
- Keep the library clean and tidy.
- Maintain silence suitable for studying.
- Leave returned books on the designated tables; only librarians will place them back on shelves.
Services
Borrowing:
The library offers borrowing services to students, instructors, professors, and employees of the University.
Category of borrowers:
- Students: 2 books, 14 days loan period, with an option for renewal.
- Instructors: 5 books, 30 days loan period, with an option for renewal.
- Professors: 5 books, loan period extends till the end of the academic season.
- Employees: 2 books, 30 days loan period, with an option for renewal.
Borrowing Rules for Students
- Students may borrow up to two books simultaneously for a period of two weeks, with the option to renew two days prior to the due date.
- Reservation of borrowed books is available through the librarian.
- Books must be returned in good condition; damaged books are the borrower’s responsibility.
- Late returns result in fines.
- Photocopying is allowed within certain limits.

The library provides a comfortable and quiet environment for reading and research. Computers are available for digital searches and accessing online resources.

Friday: 08:00 am – 03:00 pm
