Overview
The FAS, through its departments, seeks to provide high-quality, learner-centered education that responds to the needs, capabilities, and specific interests of students. To achieve this, the faculty relies on educational programs designed to prepare graduates equipped with competencies that enable them to keep pace with the rapid developments in the job market, as well as a distinguished teaching staff capable of imparting their expertise to the students.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences comprises three departments:
- Department of Media: The department grants a Bachelor’s degree in Media with three concentrations: Radio and Television, Digital Media, and Public Relations and Advertising. The program adopts Arabic as the language of instruction.
- Department of Computer Science: The department grants a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with three concentrations: Computing, Computer and Network Security, and Data Science. The department adopts English as the language of instruction for the program.
- Department of Health Sciences: The department grants a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences and adopts English as the language of instruction for the program.

Dear students,
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is considered the largest in our university in terms of number of students, and the most diverse in terms of majors. This faculty houses three departments: Media, Computer Science and Health Sciences.
Based on the University mission, the faculty is persistent in providing distinct qualitative education through its different programs, based of the following pillars:
- Consistently designing and developing academic programs to meet the needs of the labor market, keeping pace with the accelerating technological changes and providing logistic requirements for laboratories by equipping them with the latest technologies and tools to reinforce the educational process.
- Providing academically and practically experienced faculty members.
- Emphasizing scientific research to promote the educational process, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and problem solving in our society.
- Focusing on building students’ personalities by providing a supportive environment that enables them to develop their skills in communication, leadership and critical thinking.
