The debate team of the -USAL secured first place in the National Universities Debate Championship, which brought together teams from several Lebanese universities. This achievement earned the team qualification for the International Universities Debate Championship organized by QatarDebate in the State of Qatar.
With this qualification, USAL will represent Lebanon in the international championship for the second time, reflecting the excellence of its students and their ability to compete successfully at both the national and international levels.
The team consisted of:
• Mohammad Qablan
• Qusai Al-Akleh
• Shahd Al-Sayel
• Walaa Gharib
In addition, student Mohammad Qablan achieved remarkable individual success by receiving the award for Best Arabic Speaker and ranking Second Best Speaker Overall in the championship.
This achievement is the result of the intensive and specialized training undertaken by the team members over the past months, which contributed to developing their debating, critical thinking, and communication skills, and enhanced their readiness to compete successfully at both the national and international levels.
The University extends its sincere congratulations to the team members on this distinguished achievement, and to Mohammad Qablan on his outstanding individual accomplishment, wishing them continued success in representing both the University and Lebanon at the upcoming international championship.
