The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon organized an online seminar titled: “What Does Developmental Pediatrics Say About the Most Important Strategies for Dealing with Crises.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Najat Fadlallah, a pediatrician specialized in developmental behavioral medicine, as part of the university’s efforts to enhance its community role and keep pace with current challenges.
The seminar was attended by a number of university staff, as well as school and secondary school principals and teachers, in addition to individuals interested in this field—especially during this stage that requires increased awareness of scientifically and educationally grounded approaches to handling crises.
During the seminar, Dr. Fadlallah presented key concepts in developmental pediatrics, focusing on understanding children’s psychological and behavioral responses during times of crisis, and highlighting the importance of adopting supportive strategies that enhance their ability to adapt and build resilience.
She also emphasized the role of parents and educators in providing a safe and stable environment for children, stressing the importance of effective communication, emotional support, and offering appropriate guidance according to different age groups.
The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion between Dr. Fadlallah and the attendees, during which many questions and inquiries were raised, enriching the dialogue and enabling the exchange of experiences—reflecting the importance of such initiatives in promoting community awareness.
