The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon – USAL organized a scientific seminar entitled “Together Against Cancer” in collaboration with Bahman Hospital, within the framework of promoting health awareness and strengthening academic–medical partnership.
The seminar opened with remarks by Dr. Hassan Nassar, Medical Director at Bahman Hospital; Dr. Ahmad Fadlallah, Vice President of the University; and Ms. Amal Ajroush, Director of Nursing at the hospital. The speakers emphasized the importance of early awareness and institutional integration between academic and healthcare sectors in confronting cancer.
The scientific program featured specialized lectures delivered by:
• Dr. Moein Fouani, Head of Oncology Department – Oncology Prevention and Diagnostic Tools.
• Dr. Mariam Fadlallah, Director of Pediatrics – Epidemiology, Risk Factors & Alarming Signs in Children.
• Dr. Taghreed Shaaban, Head of Nursing Sciences Department – Global Cancer Burden & Nurses’ Awareness and Support.
• Ms. Joumana Ammar, Clinical Instructor Coordinator – Patient Care and Precautions in Cancer Nursing.
The seminar was attended by USAL nursing students, faculty and administrative staff, nursing students from Al-Mabarat Institute of Health Sciences, in addition to medical and nursing staff from Bahman Hospital and members of the university’s academic body, reflecting a shared commitment to community health advocacy.
