Under the patronage of the Lebanese University Sports Federation, represented by its Vice President, Eng. Zakaria Sharara, the final match of the Universities Mini-Football Championship was held at Ghobeiry Municipality Stadium, in an enthusiastic atmosphere and with notable attendance from faculty members and students of both universities.
The match brought together the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon – USAL and the Arab Open University – Beirut in a highly competitive game marked by strong technical discipline and outstanding sportsmanship, with both teams delivering a performance that reflected their preparation and readiness.
The match concluded with the victory of the Arab Open University team after a decisive and thrilling encounter, while the USAL team demonstrated an honorable performance and a high competitive spirit until the final moments.
At the end of the match, both teams were honored in recognition of their distinguished performance, and trophies and medals were awarded in the presence of federation representatives and participating faculty members, in a sporting scene that highlights the importance of university activities in promoting cooperation and fair competition among students.
Attendees affirmed that such events contribute to strengthening the culture of university sports and enhancing academic and social ties among educational institutions, serving the universities’ mission of building well-rounded students both academically and physically.
