The University of Science and Arts in Lebanon -USAL launched the “Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (MOIC) Club” in collaboration with the Youth OIC Forum, in a step aimed at strengthening the partnership between the university and international institutions and supporting the development of student capabilities.
During the ceremony, Mr. Taha Ayan, President of the Youth OIC Forum, spoke about the depth of the partnership between the university and the forum, highlighting the forum’s objectives and its role in empowering youth and promoting dialogue and cooperation among the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Nasri Harb, Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of students joining university clubs, noting the significant role such clubs play in shaping students’ personalities, developing their skills, and enhancing their resumes, contributing to the formation of a capable generation ready to face future challenges.
Ms. Hanan Al-Muqdad also presented an explanatory overview of the forum’s work and its role in launching the club within the university, noting that the club aims to train students to develop their skills in diplomacy, international communication, negotiation, and other competencies. She added that the activities and training will take place both inside Lebanon and abroad through training camps and international participations, enhancing practical experience and exposure to global practices.
It is worth noting that the launch of the club comes within USAL’s efforts to enhance student engagement in purposeful activities and open new horizons for youth to excel and innovate academically and personally, and this launch is carried out within the framework of the agreement signed between the forum and the university.
