Overview:
The International Relations Office at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) is dedicated to strengthening the international dimension across the university’s academic and cultural activities, in line with the rapid transformations in higher education and the growing importance of cross-border communication. Through this office, the university seeks to foster a culture of openness and engagement with global experiences, contributing to the development of students’ skills and preparing them to operate in an evolving global environment.
Enhancing Student Communication and Cultural Openness:
The International Relations Office at USAL works to promote communication among students from diverse cultural backgrounds and to encourage intellectual exchange and constructive dialogue within the university community. It also aims to enhance students’ awareness of cultural diversity and develop their ability to interact positively with different cultures, thereby reinforcing values of respect and mutual understanding.
Internationalization Within the University:
Internationalization is not limited to external exchange programs; USAL integrates it within the campus environment through comparative academic approaches, hosting international experts and guest lecturers, and organizing academic and cultural activities that reflect global experiences. In addition, modern technologies help ensure equal access to international knowledge opportunities for all students.

Admissions for International Students
USAL welcomes international applicants who demonstrate academic readiness and motivation to join a values-driven learning environment. Applicants must hold a recognized secondary certificate and demonstrate proficiency in the program’s language of instruction. Required documents include passport, transcripts, photos, and proof of language competence or placement test.
Tuition Fees & Financial Aid
USAL is committed to offering high-quality education at an accessible cost. International students benefit from transparent tuition fees, flexible payment plans, and merit-based financial aid opportunities. The Financial Aid Office provides personalized guidance to help students plan their educational investment effectively.
USAL International Services & Support
The International Office supports students through all visa-related steps by providing official acceptance letters, required documents, and guidance on Lebanese residency procedures. While USAL does not process visas directly, students receive clear information and timely support regarding visa issuance and residency renewal.
The International Office assists students in locating safe, comfortable, and affordable accommodation near campus. Support includes access to trusted housing contacts, guidance on rental expectations, assistance connecting with potential roommates, and orientation to transportation options.
International students enjoy a vibrant, inclusive, and academically supportive environment. USAL provides academic advising, learning support, library access, IT services, and personal guidance. Students are encouraged to engage in campus activities, clubs, volunteer opportunities, and leadership development initiatives.
Through the FutureReady Center, students benefit from career coaching, internships, skill-building workshops, and connections with NGOs and companies across Lebanon. USAL’s applied learning model ensures students gain professional experience and competencies that prepare them for employment locally and internationally.
