USAL Hosts an Interactive Workshop on Anger Management for Students

The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL), in collaboration with the Islamic Health Authority, organized an interactive workshop titled “Anger Under Control – Managing Anger as a Core Skill”. The workshop aimed to enhance emotional awareness skills and equip students with practical strategies to manage anger in a positive and constructive manner. This session is part of a series of programs designed to support students’ mental health and well-being.

The workshop covered several key topics, including understanding anger as a natural emotion, identifying internal and external triggers, coping with stressful situations, and regulating emotions using techniques such as deep breathing, cognitive re-evaluation, and calm communication.

The session was highly interactive, with students from various disciplines participating in discussions and practical exercises simulating real-life scenarios, allowing the exchange of perspectives and approaches to managing anger. Emphasis was placed on practical skills such as early recognition of anger signals, assessing situations before responding, applying self-calming techniques, and finding effective behavioral alternatives.

The workshop concluded with important recommendations to promote a culture of emotional awareness, encourage students to seek support when needed, and integrate emotion regulation exercises into regular university activities.

This initiative reflects USAL’s vision of promoting mental health and supporting students in both their academic and personal development, ensuring a healthy and stimulating learning environment.
