Students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon -USAL participated in the national conference titled: “Towards a National Sports Strategy in Lebanon: A Dialogue with Youth”, hosted by the American University of Beirut (AUB), with the aim of strengthening the role of youth as key partners in shaping the future of sports in Lebanon.
This conference comes as a follow-up to the official event organized last week by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, and in collaboration with the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS), reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to a participatory approach that actively involves university students in developing the national sports strategy.
The sessions were attended and patronized by H.E. the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Nora Bayrakdarian, who listened attentively to the students’ perspectives and contributions, emphasizing that the voice of youth represents a fundamental pillar in crafting a renewed vision for sports in Lebanon.
The participation of USAL students reflects the university’s commitment to providing its students with meaningful academic and community engagement opportunities, empowering them to contribute to national initiatives and participate in decision-making processes that support the development of the sports sector and the aspirations of future generations.
