As part of its commitment to fostering collaboration with local institutions to provide services that contribute to community development, the University of Science and Arts In Lebanon (USAL) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Haret Hreik. The agreement aims to implement projects that serve the community, improve the local environment, and enhance students’ skills.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ziad Wakid, Mayor of Haret Hreik, Mr. Ahmad Hatoum, Deputy Mayor, and Ms. Mona Arbid, Head of the Cultural Center in the Municipality of Haret Hreik. Representing USAL were Professor Dr. Mohammad Reda Fadlallah, President of the University, Dr. Yasser Fadlallah, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Ahmad Fadlallah, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Both parties emphasized the importance of this collaboration in supporting and developing the local community.
The agreement includes cooperation provisions for exchanging expertise in training and human resource development, enhancing the effectiveness of community service programs, organizing awareness seminars on various topics, and launching initiatives that serve the community. Additionally, it aims to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange in multiple fields.
The Mayor of Haret Hreik expressed his satisfaction with this partnership, noting that it would contribute to improving services for the local community. Meanwhile, the President of USAL emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the university’s mission to serve society and leverage youth potential in sustainable development projects.
It is worth noting that this agreement is part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening partnerships between USAL and municipalities, fostering developmental goals, and providing valuable benefits to the community.
