As part of the “Health Education” course offered by the Faculty of Education and under the supervision of Dr. Mariam Hmaidan, the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) organized a field awareness session that hosted Mohammad Maatouk, a paramedic from the Civil Defense Unit of the Islamic Health Society.
During the session, Maatouk provided students with scientific information and practical applications on first aid, highlighting proper ways to handle emergencies and how to act quickly and effectively to save lives.
The session included hands-on training and interactive discussions, adding a valuable practical dimension to the theoretical knowledge students acquire in class.
This initiative is part of a broader series of USAL’s efforts aimed at integrating academic learning with real-life experiences and empowering students to play an active role in community awareness.
