The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon -USAL, through its Faculty of Education, has launched the Action Research Project for the 2025–2026 academic year, in a step aimed at establishing action research as a core element of the faculty’s identity and its academic and professional culture. The project is implemented in collaboration with the Al-Mabarat Charity Association, the Islamic Religious Education Association, and the Islamic Orphanage through the Intellectual Development Foundation.
The project seeks to transform action research into an effective tool for producing educational knowledge rooted in real classroom practice, capable of supporting the development of educational practices and informing decision-making and educational policies at both the local and Arab levels.
In this context, the first session for research teams within the action research training program was held on Friday, January 30, at the university campus, with the participation of faculty members, supervisors, and educators from the partner institutions, along with the project’s scientific committee. The session focused on identifying the most pressing educational challenges at the local and Arab levels, serving as a starting point for participatory action research based on systematic inquiry and professional reflection.
The project aims to empower educators, researchers, and students of the Faculty of Education to develop action research competencies, enhance their ability to analyze and systematically improve their practices, contribute to raising the quality of teaching and learning, and produce practical knowledge applicable to leading educational development initiatives.
