The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) organized an interactive online workshop entitled: “Inclusive Education in Emergencies: Ensuring the Right to Education for All in Times of Crisis.”
The workshop highlighted the importance of promoting inclusive education in the context of ongoing crises, emphasizing the need to transform challenges into opportunities that support equitable and inclusive learning for all learners without exception. It also stressed the role of education in emergency contexts as a key tool for psychological and social protection, as well as for strengthening educational stability.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Anita Charafeddine, who presented a range of modern educational strategies, particularly in distance learning, with a focus on the use of assistive technologies to support students with disabilities and learning difficulties, ensuring continuity of education with quality and equity.
The workshop was attended by a number of school teachers from inclusive schools and institutions, in addition to university students, as part of exchanging expertise and promoting inclusive educational practices.
