Fatima Mubarak, a graduate of the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, and currently working as an AI Engineer, has contributed to the publication and presentation of a research paper at IEEE MENACOM 2026 — the 6th IEEE Middle East & North Africa Communications Conference, held in Hammamet, Tunisia.
The research paper, titled:
“Agentic AI for Context-Aware and Autonomous Data Quality Assessment”
was presented under the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) Research Lab and explores the use of multi-agent AI systems to automate context-aware data quality assessment, while reducing human intervention, enhancing consistency, and improving adaptability across various domains and applications.
The study demonstrated how collaborative AI agents can:
• Understand the context of data usage more accurately
• Dynamically select relevant data quality criteria and validation checks
• Perform assessments autonomously
• Reduce manual effort in low-latency environments, such as streaming systems and online transaction processing
This achievement reflects the growing contribution of USAL graduates to scientific research and innovation, as well as their ability to advance emerging applications in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, further strengthening the university’s presence within international academic and research communities.
