As part of its ongoing series of scientific events, the Faculty of Education at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon– USAL hosted a specialized training session organized by the Physical Education and Sports Program, featuring Dr. Mohamed Gamal Alaa El-Din — Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Egyptian National Basketball Team — under the title:
“Strength Training for Children and Adolescents.”
Dr. Alaa El-Din, who holds a PhD in Sports Training and Kinesiology from Leipzig University in Germany, delivered an interactive lecture highlighting key scientific principles and the biological and psychological considerations essential for training youth. He also shared international training models and successful case studies from his professional experience.
The session witnessed active participation from USAL’s physical education faculty and students, along with coaches from nearby sports academies. A fruitful discussion followed, addressing the latest global practices and trends in the field.
Through such initiatives, USAL reaffirms its commitment to fostering an academic environment that is open to regional and international expertise — enhancing the quality of education in physical and sports education.
