As part of its commitment to supporting mental health and promoting health awareness among its students, the Lebanese University of Arts and Sciences (USAL) organized an interactive awareness session titled: “Sedative Medications: A Solution or Another Kind of Crisis?” This initiative falls within a series of preventive efforts aimed at raising psychological and health awareness within the university environment.
The session addressed the risks of improper use of sedative medications and their effects on the brain and behavior. It also introduced healthy alternatives for managing stress, such as relaxation techniques and seeking psychological support.
The event witnessed notable engagement from students, who actively participated in discussions and raised thoughtful questions reflecting their strong interest in the topics presented. This interaction contributed to enriching dialogue and knowledge exchange, reaffirming USAL’s commitment to promoting mental and health awareness.
