The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL), through its Healthcare and Social Welfare Office and in coordination with the “Wajd” Club, launched the Peer Support Program through an interactive session titled “Writing and Journaling as a Tool for Emotional Relief,” presented by student Ali Ibrahim.
The session highlighted the importance of writing and journaling as a safe way to express emotions and manage psychological stress, as well as their role in enhancing self-awareness and emotional balance among young people, especially amid ongoing challenges and unstable circumstances.
The event also created an interactive space where students exchanged ideas and experiences, while discovering practical tools that can help reduce stress and encourage healthy self-expression.
This activity comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of preventive mental health support and empower students to play an active role in supporting their peers through meaningful and developmental initiatives.
